How link campaigns work
How link campaigns work

This article covers how to set up no-code review invitations using the Link campaign from RateHighly.

Updated this week

You can invite users to review your service using RateHighly's Link Campaign which gathers feedback and reviews from your users.

Need help choosing a campaign?

RateHighly offers several different campaign types to meet different requirements. If you have any questions please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.

How does the link campaign work?

It's as easy as sharing a link.

  1. Copy your unique survey link from your campaign page.

  2. Optionally pre-fill your customer details

  3. Share the link with your customer

Your users will be taken to a page that looks like this:

When a user rates highly we will request a testimonial from the user.

When a user gives a negative rating we will request feedback with a similar form.

You can control the threshold at which a user is requested to share a testimonial in your email campaign settings (more detail below).

This will trigger an email campaign to the user to request that the user post a review on your chosen review sites or on social media.

Live demo

Here's a link to a live demo. You can build your own live demo by heading to your link campaign settings.

Add a 'Rate us' button to a website or emails

You can also embed the links into your website, app, or emails.

Here's an example that you can embed onto any website.

What do you think of RateHighly?

This form is a demo – get your unique form on the link campaign settings page.

You can add the rating buttons to any website or app and customize them with CSS.

Pre-fill customer details

You can pre-fill your customer name, email, role, account name, user ID, and account ID.

This step is recommended! Users can add their own details when giving a rating, but you can make giving a rating much faster by pre-filling their details. If a user does not give their name their feedback will be anonymous in the RateHighly dashboard.

Providing an email is required for RateHighly to automatically follow up with your users. This follow-ups feature can be enabled / disabled in the email follow-ups section below.

Available fields:

email
name
account_name
role
user_id
account_id

Example pre-filled link:

https://ratehighly.com/surveys/mxatwr8ut2/[email protected]&name=John&account_name=RateHighly&role=Support%20agent&user_id=example&account_id=example-account

You can get a pre-filled review request link for a customer on their profile page. This will pre-fill all of their details, including their name, role and email.

Configuring your campaign

Set up your link campaign

On the Campaign dashboard, click Set up your link campaign which will show you the steps to start your campaign. It should take you a few seconds to get started by following those steps.

  1. First, copy your unique campaign link.

  2. Optionally pre-fill customer details

  3. Share the link with your users by embedding the link in your app or website, or by sending the link to users directly

You can send yourself an example email to trigger a live demo - your responses will be saved, so you can see the full end-to-end experience that your customers will see.

Configure your campaign

You can change the behaviour of your campaign in a few ways:

  • Email sender: Choose which person at your organisation will be the email sender when RateHighly delivers emails to your customers. The email will be sent from that person's email address. The user must be a member of your RateHighly account.

  • Minimum rating to request a testimonial: Choose the threshold at which a user is asked to give feedback or a testimonial. For instance, if your user gives a 3/5 rating they will be asked for feedback under the default settings and only users who give a 4 or 5 out of 5 will be asked to give a testimonial.

  • Sharing destinations: Choose which review sites or social media sites you would like your users to post their testimonials on.

Offer an incentive

You can optionally offer a nominal incentive to users who post a review on a third-party site.

πŸ‘‹ A subscription to the Growth plan is required to offer incentives. See our pricing.

Limits

You can decide how frequently you want new users to enter your campaign.
